History:Popular ingredient in tropical medicinal preparations, and used for a few pharmaceutical products such as cough syrup. Very nice for scenting soaps, detergents and body care, it is also used to flavor alcohol and soft drinks.
Specific Safety Information:No known toxicity with the Essential Oil of Balsam Peru. The balsam itself, however, can cause contact allergies.
